LTT CEO Program

Leading a business can be isolating. It doesn’t have to be.

As a CEO, Managing Director or business owner, you carry decisions that affect everyone around you — your team, your clients, your family. Many of those decisions are made with incomplete information, competing priorities and very few people you can talk to openly.

The Leadership Think Tank CEO groups exist for exactly this reason. Each group brings together a small number of senior leaders from different industries who meet regularly, build trust over time, and help each other think more clearly about the challenges and opportunities in front of them.

The group becomes a confidential, committed sounding board, consisting of people who will challenge your thinking, share what they’ve learned, and hold you accountable for the things you say you want to do.

Who it’s for

CEO groups are for the person at the top of their organisation - the one who makes the final call. That includes CEOs, Managing Directors, founders and business owners across established businesses of all sizes and industries. What matters is that you’re carrying genuine leadership responsibility and you’re open to learning from peers who are doing the same.

What you get

Peer advisory group sessions:

Eleven half-day sessions per year with the same group of leaders, meeting monthly (no session in January). Each session combines structured issue-processing, where a member brings a real challenge to the group and the room works through it together. It's where authentic, powerful relationships are forged among the members. Your Group Chair facilitates every session, keeping the conversation focused, productive and confidential.

One-to-one executive coaching:

Six dedicated coaching sessions per year with your Group Chair. These are private, structured conversations designed to help you work through individual goals, strategic decisions and leadership challenges away from the group setting. Your Chair gets to know your business deeply over time, which makes the coaching increasingly valuable.

Industry-leading speakers:

Each quarter includes a presentation from a carefully selected speaker - a practitioner or leader with genuine expertise in an area relevant to senior leadership. Topics span strategy, growth, culture, technology, governance and more. These are people with something specific to say, chosen because their insight will sharpen the thinking in the room.

How the groups are built

Every group is deliberately selected. Members come from non-competing industries so they can speak freely. We look for diversity of background, sector and thinking style - the value of the group comes from leaders who see the world differently from each other. Groups typically have between twelve and sixteen members.

We’re selective about who joins. A strong group depends on every member being committed, generous with their experience, and willing to be challenged. That selectivity protects the quality of the experience for everyone in the room.

"I value the experience and wisdom in my CEO group. It helps me to normalise my own organisational challenges, feel less alone and come away with multiple ways to solve things."

Laura Hamilton O'Hara - CEO, Living Future Institute of Australia

“My LTT journey has helped me navigate complex business decisions and opportunities on a regular basis, and I always look forward to our sessions.”

Peter Gould - CEO, Gould Studio

"There is enormous value in engaging in deep conversations within this trusted environment."

Professor Sarah Hosking - CEO, Cancer Council NSW

What members consistently say

Members describe the group as the place where they can think out loud without consequence, test ideas before committing to them, and get honest feedback from people who have no agenda other than helping. Many say the most valuable thing is accountability - knowing that next month, the room will ask what happened with the decision you said you were going to make.

Many of our CEO group members have been with us for five, seven, even ten years or more. They stay because the group keeps earning its place in their calendar.

Your Group Chair

Each CEO group is led by an experienced Chair - a senior business leader in their own right, trained in facilitation and coaching, who sets the tone for the group and holds the standard. The Chair’s role is to create the conditions where real conversations happen: to draw out the right questions, manage the room, and make sure every member gets value from every session.

We currently have Group Chairs operating across Sydney and Melbourne, each bringing a distinctive background in areas including finance, consulting, professional services, technology, not-for-profit leadership and organisational development.

Getting started

The first step is a conversation. We’ll talk about your business, where you are as a leader, and what you’re looking for. If there’s a good fit, we’ll introduce you to the right Chair and talk through how the group works in practice. There’s no obligation and no hard sell - the model only works when the fit is right for everyone.
