About Shirley Chowdhary

Shirley Chowdhary is an internationally experienced board director with expertise across law, financial services, the not-for-profit sector and journalism. Her career has been driven by a desire to create connection between people, place and purpose.
She was selected as one of the 2019 AFR 100 Women of Influence and, in 2024, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from the University of Sydney for her achievements and leadership across Indigenous education and gender equality.
Shirley is currently Chair of Women for Election and a Non-Executive Director on the boards of Australian Associated Press and Northrop Consulting Engineers. She has been a member with LTT since 2021 and has chaired her LTT CEO group since 2022.
