The value of the room
The program combines a consistent peer group, an experienced Chair, private coaching and external perspectives into a practical year-round leadership rhythm.
Members bring the real decision into the room: growth, people, cash flow, succession, governance, culture or the issue they cannot discuss freely inside their own organisation.
The same non-competing leaders return each month. Over time strong relationships develop, they get to know you, your business and your habits - and that's when the conversations get really useful.
Leave the business cards at home.
The same leaders return each month, what's said stays in the room, and the payoff shows up in your decisions.
Who it is for
Title alone does not determine fit. The program is designed for leaders with genuine enterprise responsibility who are prepared to be open, challenged and useful to their peers.
What membership includes
The group is the centre of the program. Coaching, external speakers and the wider community reinforce the work between sessions.
Eleven facilitated half-day sessions with the same confidential group of non-competing leaders.
Six private 1:1 sessions with your Group Chair for strategic decisions, leadership patterns and accountability.
Quarterly access to topic expert speakers who challenge the room with insightful, current perspectives.
Selected member events and opportunities to build relationships beyond your immediate group.
Inside a session
The Chair gives the room structure without forcing every month into the same script.
To prepare, think about a current leadership issue you would like to explore and how to introduce your role and business context. The usual session includes arrival, a Chair-led opening round and discussion of members’ live issues. Participate by listening, asking questions and sharing relevant experience. Ask your Chair what to prepare for your particular group.
Step out of operational urgency and reconnect with leaders who understand the context without needing the backstory.
Each member identifies the decision, opportunity or pressure most worth the room's attention.
Peers ask direct questions, challenge assumptions and share relevant experience before offering conclusions.
Selected sessions include a practitioner who brings current expertise to a topic affecting the group.
Members leave with clearer priorities and actions the Chair and group can revisit next month.
What changes
You'll know it's working when you make a decision faster, better and with less second-guessing than you would on your own.
Test assumptions before committing the organisation and see risks or options that are difficult to surface internally.
Learn from peers who have handled different versions of growth, change, people and governance pressure.
Return to the same room with people who remember what you committed to and will ask what happened next.
Build trusted relationships where the business context can be discussed without performance, politics or hidden agendas.

Program questions
The Leadership Think Tank is for CEOs, Managing Directors, business owners, founders and senior executives who have genuine leadership responsibility and want a confidential place to test thinking. CEO groups are designed for the person who ultimately carries the organisation's decisions. Senior Executive groups are designed for leaders who report to the CEO or MD, such as CFOs, COOs, Chief People Officers, General Managers, divisional directors and senior functional leaders. What members have in common is responsibility, openness to challenge and a willingness to help other leaders. LTT works best for people who already take their leadership seriously and want to be held to a higher standard by peers who have no hidden agenda.
Executive coaching gives you a private conversation with a skilled Chair who can help you work through goals, leadership patterns and strategic decisions. That is powerful, and it is part of the CEO program. A peer advisory group adds something coaching alone cannot provide: the lived experience of 12-16 other leaders who are dealing with different versions of similar pressure. In the group, you hear how others have approached acquisitions, restructures, difficult hires, cash flow, board dynamics, culture change, risk and growth. You also hear what they would do differently. Coaching helps you go deeper into your own context. The group widens your perspective and keeps you accountable in public, but still confidentially, to the decisions you say you want to make.
Groups are deliberately built rather than filled. LTT looks at seniority, business context, industry, personality, experience and the likely contribution a person can make to the room. Members come from non-competing industries so they can speak openly. The diversity of the group matters because the best advice often comes from someone outside your sector who is not trapped by the same habits and assumptions. Each group has a dedicated Chair who facilitates monthly sessions and, in the CEO program, provides one-to-one coaching. Groups meet 11 times per year, with no formal January session. The structure is consistent enough to build trust, but flexible enough to respond to the issues members are actually carrying.
The core commitment is 11 half-day group sessions per year, meeting monthly with no formal January session. CEO program members also receive six one-to-one executive coaching sessions per year with their Group Chair. Senior Executive members can add optional quarterly coaching. There may also be quarterly industry-leading speaker sessions and community events such as our All In Day. Members who get the most from LTT treat the sessions as protected leadership time rather than another meeting to squeeze around operations. The point is to step out of day-to-day urgency long enough to think, test decisions and return with sharper priorities.
The Group Chair is the person who protects the quality of the room. They facilitate the monthly sessions, keep discussion focused, draw out quieter voices, challenge assumptions and make sure the group stays confidential, constructive and useful. A good Chair is an experienced leader and coach who knows how to get an honest conversation going - and keep it useful. In the CEO program, the Chair also provides one-to-one executive coaching, which means they come to understand each member's business and leadership context in detail. Over time, that combination of group facilitation and private coaching helps the Chair connect patterns, hold members accountable and keep the work practical.
Compare your options
Compare CEO / MD Groups with Senior Executive Groups, or let LTT help you decide in the first conversation.
Start with a conversation about your role, responsibilities and what you are looking for. LTT considers mutual fit and the mix of each group; you can select ‘Not sure yet’ on the conversation form.
Confidentiality is an expectation of membership. Groups bring together non-competing leaders, industry conflicts are considered during matching, and a dedicated Chair facilitates the discussion. Ask the team to explain the confidentiality expectations before joining.
Raise your concerns with the LTT team or your Chair. The initial conversation considers your role, industry and the current group mix. Ask about the options for your circumstances; a different group is subject to fit and availability.
Ask the team about suitable opportunities to experience the format. Some events may suit prospective members; availability depends on the format, confidentiality and fit.
