About Joseph Ghaly

Joseph Ghaly joins The Leadership Think Tank as a Chair in Melbourne, bringing more than 25 years of experience growing businesses and building partnerships across Australia, the Americas and Asia. He has worked inside global organisations and led small, fast-moving ones, so he knows the pressures that come with each - and what it takes to get people pulling in the same direction.

With Ericsson, Joseph held director roles in Brazil and Florida, building alliances with telecommunications operators and banks across the Americas. Back home in Melbourne, he spent six years as CSIRO’s State Relationship Manager for Victoria, helping secure more than $40 million a year in recurring government revenue for emerging technologies including AI. He then led business development for a national electronic prescribing provider, signing up 40% of Australia’s pharmacies and 60% of its GP clinics.

Joseph has also sat in the CEO’s seat. As CEO of Lexplore Australasia, he led the market entry of an award-winning eye-tracking education technology across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, securing multi-year agreements with schools along the way. He also founded Brilliant Women Global, a diversity-focused business network he grew from start-up to an established community, with corporate members including the ASX, State Super and the University of Melbourne. More recently, he has advised growing businesses on strategy, partnerships and new revenue streams, working closely with owners and their advisory boards.

Since 2021, Joseph has been Director of the World Literacy Taskforce for the World Literacy Foundation, partnering with global companies including PwC and FedEx to tackle illiteracy and representing the Foundation at the World Economic Forum. He holds a Bachelor of Economics and Commerce from the University of Melbourne and an MBA from RMIT. The values he works by are simple ones - authenticity, integrity and trust - which happen to be exactly what makes a peer group work.

Joseph launched his LTT CEO group in October 2026.
